1. Service Description

MailflowMon is a mailflow monitoring service that tests email delivery by sending test emails through your mail servers and verifying receipt. The service checks SMTP delivery, round-trip times, and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

The service is provided free of charge and is offered "as is" without warranties of any kind.

2. Account Registration
  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You must verify your email address before using most features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts is not permitted.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age to use this service.
3. Fair Use Policy

To ensure fair access for all users, the following limits apply per account:

Minimum check interval5 minutes
Maximum alert configs per monitor3

These limits may be adjusted at any time. Attempts to circumvent fair use limits (e.g., creating multiple accounts) may result in account suspension.

4. Domain Ownership

You may only add domains that you own or have explicit authorization to monitor. Domain ownership is verified through DNS TXT records. You must not:

  • Add domains you do not own or control
  • Use the service to test or probe third-party mail systems without authorization
  • Attempt to bypass domain verification
5. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use MailflowMon to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited emails, or conduct email bombing
  • Test, probe, or attack mail servers you do not own
  • Attempt to exploit, hack, or disrupt the service
  • Use the API in a way that creates excessive load
  • Share your account credentials or API key with others
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
6. Account Suspension & Deletion

We may suspend or delete accounts in the following cases:

  • Violation of terms: Accounts that violate these terms may be suspended or deleted without notice.
  • Inactivity: Accounts inactive for 11 months receive an email reminder. At 12 months, the account is suspended and monitors are paused. At 13 months (30 days after suspension), the account is permanently deleted.
  • Reactivation: Suspended accounts due to inactivity can be reactivated by simply logging in within the 30-day grace period.
7. API Usage

Access to the REST API is provided for programmatic integration. API usage is subject to rate limiting. API keys are personal and must not be shared. We reserve the right to revoke API access if usage patterns indicate abuse.

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of MailflowMon is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. Our servers are located in Germany and Switzerland.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure issues, or force majeure events may cause temporary interruptions. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

MailflowMon is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss of data, revenue, or business arising from the use or inability to use the service
  • Inaccurate monitoring results or missed alerts
  • Actions taken by third parties on your email infrastructure
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via site announcements or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
